Getting the hang of sending you photos without pestering dad to help me. He is being patient and kind and showing me how to do things for myself on the computer, Another lovely gift he gave me yesterday: the best of all, is asking me to put on a Beethoven CD. He listened to it with rapt attention and afterwards said they were truly beautiful pieces. (Sonatas) I’m so thrilled, he has just got out of bed, making himself coffee and has selected another Beethoven CD.
I’m sitting here quiet as a mouse, just silently being so delighted that he seems to be discovering and enjoying depths of Beethoven’s genius, how thrilled I am about it you cannot imagine (though I’m sure you can, you are such a sensitive person, Stu. you have a loving and patient spirit, just like Dad,, thank God you’re a worthwhile human being
Taking stock of my sixty years yesterday, and I realized how constantly I remain deeply thankful that I’ve such a fine son as you.
I haven’t managed to shake the habit of frequenting secondhand bookshops wherever I go. Dad just giggles ( he has such a manic giggle, doesn’t he, I’m sure you remember it well though) shakes his head takes himself off for little strolls while I browse.
Am sending you lots of pictures today because it is raining again. We’ve been gallivanting about a lot yesterday and today will be good for cleaning out cupboards and dusting the caravan etc. A
Nature’s in a feisty mood today… Torrents of humongous, splendid fat tears from heaven, sobs and sobs of them, and tremendous tempers of thunder and flashes and lashes of lovely lightning,
(Nature can be such a clown. Capable, like yesterday, of acting laid back, magnificently balm, sunny and dozy, friendly and warm… and today, She’s a throwing an almighty tantrum,,)
A bit like you room maybe.?. much
I hope you enjoy the pictures I’m selecting for you. You said you like us sending them to you so be prepared, I want to send you many!
much Flutterby,love, ,mom
