Men have weak hearts. Men know love like no woman can. Woman dream about being loved but men know about being in love. Men can be the best they can, endure, succeed or fail and they can preserver and achieve all that they can. Yet it’s love that makes all men stop and feel and admire all that which they couldn’t.
For a man is never truly free of himself or his ambitions. And love comes to all men like breath to a drowning soul. Men are trapped their whole lives with themselves and they compete with themselves going higher and higher, further and further until death; or love finds him and then for at least a moment, the love for a woman can heal a journey man from himself. Or a woman can send him back into the abyss from whence he came…to fight the dogs at his back and compete as he must again with the turmoil of himself. And while he fights the beasts of doom, he remembers that he knew once of a love that held him softly in gentle nights; and now is a weakness that holds him back like salt in a wound, as he struggles with all his might to fight.
