Human losing heart

I sat her down, Our eyes locked, Silence was sticky. I broke the connection of our eyes, Looking into space,  I swallowed hard.

She can not do this any more, She can not go on. The physical effort – Time without – Yet time within, So precious, painful but true.

She saw me, for the first time inside – Inside me, where the wall always stood.

I was not the man She thought I was.

She ripped through my heart so many times, She spat in my face – She betrayed me,  with little/No trust at all.Right there, For the first time, She saw me, She saw a friend, She saw a human, with emotion and need.

That was the last time, She would ever see me again.
