Sometimes i think that some of the profound question out there that have not been answered are never going to be answered with certainty. I wonder if if people think that everything has an answer ultimately and we will find it eventually.
If someone is blind, they cannot see. If they want to see, well unfortunately they do not have the means to, because they are blind. This doesn’t stop the blind man from wanting to see, and this is the parallel I think sometimes i see in profound questions, the answer is like goal to the question just like seeing is the goal to the blind man. But what it takes to understand the problem is outside of our the realms of our narrowly defined world that we have here. We cannot see, because we are blind, however we seek to find a way to see. But we cannot see, thus we will not see. And as such we will not find the answer to questions that have their source in realms we cannot understand.
Another example is whether our lives are predetermined, if we say that a choice we make ultimately was the choice you were meant to take from the start, then nothing we do has an impact on our life, in as much as we have a say in the matter, because things happen as they were planned to. Who planned them, someone, we dont know who, how he works, why he does what he does and what his motives are – not even his trends in doing so. Then if we don’t know all this and more – how can we come up with a answer, we cannot know all these things are things that we dont have access to and thus cannot make a clear answer based on them? Can we determine the answer without the problem? No.
If on the other hand, if we decide that choice is entirely up to the individual, then each choice one makes changes the outcome of that individuals life based on that individuals choices. But what happens is those choices as individual as they are have no impact on the end result of his life – the end result is predetermined. We have no access to the logic behind the predetermined result calculation thus, again the answer is again not within our reach – its near impossible to determine a finite answer. We can determine the answers of each choice we make but if it makes no difference to the end result, then why try to determine the end result from our choices? If it does, then our choices are perfectly valid to arrive at the answer. The question is which one is it? My solution is go which what we have access to know, dont worry about that which we dont and cannot have access to – the final answer. Worry about the choices we make or decide not to, not end result as the end result is only realised after your life, choices happen now and are worth worrying about because we have reason to, and access to them.
Dont worry about that which we cannot access, or at least think about it but be not perplexed that a answer is difficult to come by, as it is designed in this way. We can theorize but that is all, and in theorizing to determine the answer we are seemingly wasting our time, as ultimately it is guess work. And maybe our guesses are answer substitutes that makes us happy to have a space filler, even though its not the ultimate answer -because that will not come Theorizing help realize other things but not the answer. Because we cannot know the answer if we don’t have access to the problem details – which we don’t.
The ancient greeks didn’t have access to the reason why the sun moved in the sky, but they came up with theories and guess work, of which was the a god pulled the sun with his chariot. They didn’t come up with the answer because they didn’t have the means to. Inventions made this answer possible, because they gave us access to the things that were out of the realm of this problem and thus restricted to us – The sun rotates around a round earth, every 24 hours and this is becuase of the gravitation forces that exist between the sun and the earth etc…
But maybe theorizing is not just guess work, it helps determine how to access the information that is not available to us be default… and thus opens just like a key opens a door, the knowledge to that information we didn’t have by default.
Maybe we will find the answer to everything, if we can unlock the doors to the realm of unknown.
Maybe guesswork leads to invention that leads to logic which gives us the key to determine the answer.
but if we dont have all this, the answer is never going to be found.
if we are blind, we cannot see – even though we may want to see but if we understand why we are blind we can modify our eyes in certain ways to see. Maybe this is it – If you know the problem or can figure it out, then you can move towords the answer – if you have no knowledge of the problem and how it exists then you will never know the answer and thus you will never see.
know why the problem exists and you can find the answer to anything.
