Progress and the machine of life.

We are all at various stages of the same development in all things ultimately, we all start and we all finish. This is how we are all the same. We will do things differently but we are still the cogs in the machine of life. How we choose to do with the space between start and finish is based on our interpretation of life. This is how we differ, in our interpretations as for each interpretation will lead to a train of thought which will eventually lead to the decisions and actions that govern how we live. I like to believe that if you think a certain way, it will govern how you act.

Is it foolish to think that we are all on the same journey ultimately?  Does this take away our personality or personal identity? Perhaps the questions rather is are we all on the same journey? If so what could it be? If not why and what other journeys are there? And better still what is a journey in life?

Perhaps I should start with this.

A journey in life as I see it, is as is a normal journey a progression from one point to another – probably a life journey is a progress from being born, living through life and dying. Living is that journey. Value to life is living. Is it fair to say the the progress is the valuable part and is the accumulated experience or is ones progress a stepping stone to the the goal at the end of the journey and the final idea is what is valuable?

This begs the question what is progress and what about progress is valuable?

Perhaps progress is how we reflect and interpret things in life and give them meaning, in in doing so manipulate our actions in life based on these reflections, thoughts or ideas.

Then in living a progression of defining the things we encounter in life? and is the end result, the potential goal of the journey – the final idea reached?

I think that we will never know, for when the final goal is reached, it will be made up of progression, thus to say that either one is responsible for the value of living is perhaps incorrect. What this does tell us is that thinking, reflecting and defining our thoughts and ideas as we experience life is what is valuable.

Maybe even the meaning of life is to experience and define? Another question is why and who for? For us personally as human beings – what for, for someone else, what for and who?

If we can’t figure that out, maybe we should make it up, make it mean something to us.

maybe man has been doing this forever, since he walked the earth? Maybe we were ment to make it up, make meaning to something that we cannot understand. Maybe this is our goal, our journey our value.

I truly believe man to be a spiritual entity, and thus in being that spiritual entity, our journey in life is  based on that.

No one man can see the spirit of another however, he can be influenced by it and then manipulate his own based on it.

Then I think that our life is to enhance our spirits, to define our existence each day. Not for the greater good of another person or people ultimately but for something else. Sure in our being we can influence people but this is not the goal of living, the goal of living is to live and not die. Why? I have no idea, but their is two options I see. We do this for the benefit of god or we do this for the benefit of ourselves.

How to we benefit from our lives progress? This is the ‘How’

Do we benefit from it after we die or during our life? This is the ‘When’.

Either way – we’re doing the same work so it may be that we benefit from our progress in life, during life and at the end.  Which one is more beneficial? i don’t know but surely we cannot know until we die if the one is more beneficial than the other – what remains the same is that living is valuable to us, during our lives and after. It may be valuable to someone else too. Ie God but we don’t know that and he is not telling us at the moment. So perhaps we should stop worrying about God and not concentrate in finding whether it benefits him the most that we live, rather because we don’t know that – we should concentrate on living is beneficial to us and is valuable to us.

Perhaps being aware and conscious about our thoughts and feelings is what activates us as human beings and starts the progression of life?
